RULE #1 Size matters.
The first question a saleswoman will always ask is “What is her size?” Do not guess. There are several ways to determine her correct size. You can ask a friend, check her closet and of course, you can always ask her.
RULE #2 Do your homework.
Sneak a peek inside her wardrobe and locate the size tags of similar items you are interested in purchasing. Avoid items at the back of her closet she no longer wears. They may be items that no longer wears but she can not bear to part with.
RULE #3 Ask her girlfriend.
Girls tend to know these things about each other. If she doesn’t know, she’ll most likely be able to find out for you and possibly help you with some ideas.
RULE #4 Her personal style.
Take note of how she dresses on a day-to-day basis. What is her go-to look? Is she feminine, athletic or sexy? Try to match her gift with her existing themes of style. She will definitely notice the extra effort.
RULE #5 Presentation.
There’s nothing more sweet than a beautifully packaged gift to make your lady feel important. Use tissue, bows and ribbons to show her how special she is to you.
